Finally we found some restbite from all the rain. Pitlochry was driving distance from the Ecocamp and Glenshee so we headed there for a walk with Marmite to the river and the dam.

Significantly more wet, we decided to pop into town for a yummy lunch of chicken panini's and hot chocolates at Morton's Coffee Lounge to warm us up and allow us to dry off.

Pitlochry is a sweet town with a range of shops which on a lovely day would be a great day out but we were totally fed up with the weather. Joe suggested a spa so after a little Google search we all agreed the Atholl Palace Hotel & Spa looked like just what we needed.

Feeling toasty, refreshed and relaxed it was time to brave the rivered roads and make our way back to Kirkmichael for our dinner reservation at The Strathardle Inn

The restaurant is a nice blend of relaxed and more formal and you can choose where to sit. It turns out they were super dog friendly so we sat in the more relaxed bar area so Marmite could join us. The menu choices, food and service were all fantastic so I can highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

Although we didn't manage to get any skiing done we still had a wonderful family weekend away! I also really miss blogging more regularly so I'm going to try and get back on that.
